Connection Between Server and Cloud Instances
For your Zephyr and Jira instances to be able to integrate , they should be accessible to each other.
Both Zephyr and Jira are available as Cloud and On-Premises (Server / Data Center) software:
If you use Cloud instances of Zephyr Enterprise and Jira, then both of them have access to the Web and are accessible to each other.
If you use on-premises instances – Zephyr Enterprise Server and Jira Server/Data Center – then most likely both of them are working in the same local network and accessible to each other.
If you use a combination of On-Premise (Server) and Cloud instances –
- Zephyr Server and Jira Cloud, or
- Zephyr Cloud and Jira Server / Data Center,
– then you might need to configure your firewall or proxy to allow bidirectional traffic between Zephyr and Jira instances. If needed, ask your network administrators for assistance.
Tip: How to get Zephyr and Jira IPs
To set up rules for firewalls and proxies, you need IP addresses of Zephyr Cloud or Jira Cloud instances.
To get the IP address, you can use an online service like https://www.whatismyip.com/dns-lookup/ or use a command-line utility nslookup
, for example:
nslookup your-company.atlassian.net
Once you get the Zephyr IP, you can check it by adding /flex/html5
to the URL and opening it in a browser, for example, https://33.122.19.188/flex/html5
.
