Locked Users
Users or resources that exceed limits after a subscription expires are locked. A user with seats in multiple solutions may be locked across all associated Swagger products.
Important
To avoid payment processing issues and potential locked users. It is recommended that you keep your credit card information up to date and periodically monitor your subscription renewal.
Users are locked using "Last In, First Out" (LIFO) logic. For example, the oldest users, according to the date they joined the organization, will keep their licenses active.
Users are locked when a subscription ends.
Locked users can log in Swagger with limited privileges within each feature.
Any roles or permissions assigned in Swagger features are retained when a user is locked. Roles and permissions are automatically restored if a user is unlocked based on a new or upgraded subscription.
The locked state is recalculated if an administrator manually revokes the subscriptions to free up seats.
Unlocking Subscription
You can grant a user access to a specific plan or subscription. If a subscription shows a locked icon next to the user name, it indicates insufficient seats are available. By default, the system automatically unlocks users when it detects an exact Swagger product match, and the automatic unlock remains active.
If no matching feature is available, the admin can manually unlock the user. To unlock, perform the following steps:
Click the Ellipsis button next to the member you want to unlock the subscription.
Select the Unlock Subscription option to unlock a locked subscription. If there are available seats, the subscription will be automatically assigned.
The Unlock Subscription dialog box appears.
Click any of the following options to unlock subscriptions:
Click Unassign Locked Products to remove locked product assignments from a member when insufficient seats are available.
Click Switch to Editor Seat to add an Editor seat to a member when Viewer seats are unavailable.
Click Unassign Viewer Seat to remove the Viewer seat from a member.
Click Unassign Licenses to remove licenses when the seat limit prevents assigning an Editor seat.
Click Unassign Editor Seat to remove an Editor seat when there are not enough available seats.
Click Upgrade Plan to add more seats or upgrade your existing subscription.

The following options appear for members based on the seat type, Viewer or Editor.
