SmartBear Administration Release Notes - May 2026
This release includes new features and improvements to enhance your SmartBear ID, Admin, License Management, Organization, and Subscription experience.
Features
The following are the new features for the current release:
Support external guest IdP providers for Swagger Portal
Enhance the existing authorization framework to allow customers to integrate multiple Identity Providers (IdPs) for authenticating both internal and external users. This capability provides greater flexibility, improves security, and enhances the overall user experience.
Viewer and Editor Access

This feature is rolling out to a limited set of accounts. It may not be available yet. Full availability is expected soon.
You can now purchase additional viewer seats for Swagger products. You can assign these seats to users in your organization. The Viewer option grants users view-only access to Swagger. You can configure specific permissions within each Swagger product. If you do not select any products or features, by default, viewer permissions are assigned for those products or features.
The Editor option grants users the required Swagger product. You can configure the detailed permissions individually in each product after sending the invitation. You must assign modules to grant editor permissions in each Swagger product. Only assigned modules provide editor access.

Enhancements
The following are the new enhancements for the current release:
Enhanced trial onboarding by prepopulating the organization name for new trial users based on the company name entered on the complete profile page.
SmartBear Admin now supports a backchannel logout.
Resolved an issue where users could start a trial by creating a new organization through direct access to “try.platform.smartbear.com/new-organization” and “try.platform.smartbear.com/select-organization”.
Swagger App Switcher now features Swagger Catalog, a centralized workspace that unifies all your organization’s APIs so you can view and manage them easily. See Swagger Catalog documentation for more information.
Bug Fixes
Here is a summary of the key bug fixes implemented in the current release:
Resolved the error that caused the complete profile form for Swagger trial accounts to reject dashes and standard United States telephone number formats.
Resolved issue where the incorrect dialog box appeared after inviting a user with an assigned subscription through the Invite Member flow.
Fixed the error where the Manage Billing button appears for organizations without an e-commerce subscription. All Manage Billing sections are now hidden for organizations on a trial plan without an assigned business entity ID.
Resolved issue where administrators received two emails about organization deletion, and users did not receive any email. Administrators now receive email notification as expected.
Resolved issue where saving updates to the SBID profile displayed an error message instead of navigating back to the Profile Details page.
Fixed the issue where the Company list was displaying for a few users.
