Permissions and Roles

SmartBear Admin provides you with an option to "Set Granular Permissions." Clicking the link navigates you to the respective feature (For example, Swagger Studio) permission page to access and manage specific roles and permissions for that feature. See Swagger Feature-Specific Roles and Permissions in the Swagger documentation for more information.

The following are the roles and permissions for each user in SmartBear Admin.

Admin

  • Add or remove members to the organization.

  • Assign or remove other admins.

  • Assign or remove subscriptions.

  • Create new organization

  • Edit organization details

  • Purchase subscriptions

  • Manage billing information

  • Invite members to your organization and assign a Viewer and Editor seat type.

    • Viewer - View-only access to Swagger. You can configure specific permissions within each Swagger product.

      Note

      The view-only feature is only available for direct plans and is not available for e-commerce plans.

    • Editor - Configure detailed permissions individually in Swagger.

Member

  • View other members of the organization. The following are the roles and permissions for each user.

  • Create a new organization

  • View members' organization and subscription assignments
