AlertSite UXM

To view or change your AlertSite account settings, go to  > Settings and switch to Preferences.

AlertSite 1.0

To view or change your AlertSite account settings, go to Account > Manage Account. The settings are in the Preferences section.

These settings control some default settings for new monitors, account-level alerting and time settings.

Alerting

AlertSite UXM

Preferred email format

Select None, Plain TextHTML, XML, or both HTML and XML. Any email alerts sent to your recipient will use this setting as the default.

SLA alerts

For service level agreement alerts, select the desired default notification option. This is used by SLA (MultiPOP) monitors.

  • Suppress notification if ANY location can reach your site

  • Send notification when ONE location detects an error

  • Send notification when TWO locations detect an error

  • Send notification when THREE locations detect an error

Enable alerts

The default alerting behavior for all new monitors you create. Existing monitors are not affected by this option.

AlertSite 1.0

Preferred E-mail format

Select None, Plain TextHTML, XML, or both HTML and XML. Any email alerts sent to your recipient will use this setting as the default.

SLA (MultiPOP) notifications

For service level agreement alerts, select the desired default notification option. This is used by SLA (MultiPOP) monitors.

  • Suppress notification if ANY location can reach your site

  • Send notification when ONE location detects an error

  • Send notification when TWO locations detect an error

  • Send notification when THREE locations detect an error

Notify on Error?

The default alerting behavior for all new monitors you create. Existing monitors are not affected by this option.

Monitoring

These will be the default settings when you add a new monitor. You can modify them for each monitor individually if needed.

AlertSite UXM

Default monitoring mode

Primary, Global Notify, Global Verify, Round Robin, or SLA (MultiPOP) (for service-level agreements). See Monitoring Modes for a detailed description of each.

Enable local retry

Select if you want your monitors to include the standard second-try verification after finding an error condition. See Local Retry and Remote Verification for more information.

Allow AlertSite QA testing

Select to include your monitors in AlertSite regression testing prior to deploying any updates.

AlertSite 1.0

Default new devices to

Enable Local Retry (default) performs a second attempt at the same monitoring location to verify an error. Select Disable Local Retry from the dropdown to suppress the second attempt.

Default new devices to

Allow AlertSite QA Testing (default) includes your monitors in AlertSite regression testing prior to deploying any updates. Select Disallow AlertSite QA Testing from the dropdown to suppress regression testing.

Select your time zone from the list.

My reporting week begins on

Scheduled weekly reports for LastWeek and LastBusinessWeek will run on this day of week. Default is Monday.

My business day begins at

Select the approximate time when your business day begins.

Daylight savings time

Select the appropriate adjustment for daylight savings time:

  • None
  • United States (Mar-Nov)
  • United Kingdom/Europe (Mar-Oct)
  • Australia (Oct-Mar)

The time will automatically adjust for daylight savings based on your selection.

AlertSite 1.0

Timezone

Select your time zone from the list.

My reporting week starts on

Select the appropriate adjustment for daylight savings time:

  • None
  • United States (Mar-Nov)
  • United Kingdom/Europe (Mar-Oct)
  • Australia (Oct-Mar)

The time will automatically adjust for daylight savings based on your selection.

AlertSite UXM

Console preferences

Select the AlertSite interface you prefer – AlertSite UXM or AlertSite 1.0 (classic). Users logging in will be redirected to the selected interface.

This option also controls the default Dashboard style in AlertSite UXM:

  • Tile view if Console preference=AlertSite UXM.

  • List view if Console preference=AlertSite 1.0 (to match 1.0’s dashboard style).

Send email when remaining usage creadits drop to the following percentage

Only for customers on the Usage-Based Monitoring plan. You will receive an email when this amount of usage credits is left in your account in the current billing period. The email will be sent to the contact email address specified in the contact information.

Console Preference

Select the AlertSite interface you prefer – AlertSite UXM or AlertSite 1.0 (classic). Users logging in will be redirected to the selected interface.

The AlertSite 1.0 console page you see when you log in: Dashboard, Monitoring Console, or Document Manager.

Send Email when there are … percent usage credits remaining in your account
