Test Dynamic Identifier Patterns Wizard - Specify a Web Object Identifier Page

Applies to TestComplete 15.70, last modified on December 17, 2024

You use the Test Dynamic Identifier Patterns wizard to check if a specific identifier matches one of the dynamic identifier patterns. These patterns are defined on the Object Identification and Hybrid Mobile pages of your project and in the default project properties.

On this page, you can manually enter the web object identifier to test against the dynamic identifier patterns. You can also paste this identifier from the clipboard. The identifier is either the id or name attribute of web objects, according to the Identification attribute project setting.

You can learn this identifier by examining the web page object in the Object Spy, Object Browser or browser developer tools (for example, Firefox Firebug add-on).

After you have entered the identifier, click Next to proceed.
