We’re excited to introduce a new feature in Zephyr Scale - Change History for Test Executions.
This feature allows you to track who made changes to test executions and when they were made. It enhances traceability and accountability, helping you gain deeper insights into the evolution of your testing efforts.
Now, whenever you update a test execution under Test Cycle → Test Case tab, all changes will be logged in the test execution change history for that specific test case. This includes modifications to such fields:
Assigned To
Release Version
Environment
Iteration
Additionally, this release includes various bug fixes and enhancements:
Users can no longer create folders with duplicate names at the same level via the UI.
We fixed an issue where the “Choose Save Template” dropdown was disappearing for some users.
Bug fix:
Fixed issue in the JCMA related to migrating rich text attachments for plain text test steps.
Hi there! We're actively working on integrating autosave into the test case/cycle/plan views. As the first step in bringing auto-save capabilities to Zephyr, we've rolled out a game-changing update: modals for creating test cases/cycles/plans. Say hello to a smoother, more intuitive creation process!
Here's what you can expect:
A faster way to create test cases/plans/cycles without losing context
A clear distinction between creating and editing the test entity
Ability to create multiple test cases/cycles/plans in a row
Alignment with the Jira user experience
Most importantly, this is a step forward to provide auto-save on the test case/cycle/plan views.
Bug fixes:
Zephyr is now fully compatible with the Attachment Checker Jira plugin, allowing you to upload attachments without issues.
Test executions containing call-to-test steps now display correctly in the Test Player.
The POST /automation/ endpoint has been fixed to correctly use the Test Cycle information provided in the request.
PDF exports of Test Cases can now be downloaded without errors.
Temporary files created during the export of Test Execution reports are now properly deleted, preventing unnecessary disk space usage.
Bug fixes:
We fixed step sorting in Test Scripts to ensure steps display in the correct order and numbering updates properly after changes.
We enhanced the
hasLinkedTestCycleJQL filter to better handle project-specific queries by including only issues from the specified project. This reduces unnecessary data processing and improves query performance.You no longer see the error when creating a test cycle with the "Create and Edit" option. It now opens the Edit View as expected.
We removed the 100-record limit when selecting test cases to import using “Import from other project” feature. Now you can import all test cases you need in one go.
