Message - Verification failed. Problems With Launching TestComplete or TestExecute.

Applies to TestComplete 15.62, last modified on March 19, 2024
The Network Suite functionality is deprecated. We don’t recommend using it for distributed testing. Consider using a CI/CD system for managing distributed tests. See Migrating Distributed Tests to CI/CD Systems for details. In case you need to run web tests on multiple environments in parallel, you can also try using your project’s Execution Plan.

TestComplete displays the “Verification failed” error message to inform you that the verification of a network suite, job or task failed.

This can happen if an instance of TestComplete (or TestExecute) installed on your slave host cannot be launched.

Note: For information on other possible problems that can cause verification failure and on how to solve them, see Message - Verification failed.

In order for verification to pass successfully and the test engine to be able to execute a network suite, job or task, a number of possible problems with TestComplete (or TestExecute) should be solved on slave hosts:

Problems With Launching TestComplete or TestExecute
  • Check which TestComplete version (15.nn.mmm) is installed on the master computer and make sure that the same version of TestComplete or TestExecute is installed on the remote computer.

  • Make sure that the TestComplete 15 Service (TestCompleteService15.exe) is registered and is running on the remote computer.

  • Make sure that TestComplete (TestExecute) can be launched on the remote computer and that no errors occur while TestComplete (TestExecute) is starting.

  • If the remote Windows operating system has User Account Control (UAC) turned on, launch TestComplete (TestExecute) and check whether the UAC prompt is displayed asking for your confirmation. If it does, TestComplete (TestExecute) will not be able to start remotely as UAC blocks remote requests to run applications that require UAC confirmation.

To resolve the problem, you can do any of the following:
