  • A number of bugs reported by our customers have been fixed.

On-Premises 12.50

This version includes the changes made to the SaaS versions (12.41 - 12.50) that were released after the previous On-Premises release (ver. 12.40).

  • Improved chart sharing:

    • You can now share your charts with any person, even if they don't have a QAComplete account. To manage the list of shared charts, use the new Manage Shared Charts button on the Dashboard screen.

    • Now you can allow or disallow chart sharing. To do that, use the new Share Charts option on the Security Group Privileges page of the Security Groups settings.

  • Improvements related to custom fields:

    • Now you can add custom fields during the test run on the Run Test screen. To do that, click the Choose Fields button in the top-right corner of the screen.

    • All the fields on the Custom Fields screen can now contain up to 20 000 characters.

    • Now QAComplete shows custom fields in Test Runs Detail Reports as well.

  • New Setup settings:

    • You can now control the use of the Fast Edit feature by using the new Allow Using Fast Edit setting in Security Groups > Management Features.

    • Now you can set a timeout after which inactive users will be automatically logged off by using the new Auto Logoff Timeout option on the Personal Preferences and System Options page of System Options.

    • You can now enable or disable the ability to run test sets directly from the Test Sets screen by using the new Allow running test sets option in the Test Management section on the Security Group Privileges page.

  • The POST /projects/{ProjectId}/testruns API method has a new parameter, ForceNewRunCreation, that creates a new test run even if a test is running.

  • Use the new POST /projects/{ProjectId}/sendemail/{EntityCode}/{Id} API method to email detailed information on the specified item (a test, a test run, a defect, and so on) to the specified users.

  • A new report template, Test Runs Detail Report, is now available on the Reports screen. Use it to create reports for your test runs.

  • The Log In page has a new look.

  • The QAComplete Integration for Jira plugin can now synchronize Jira fields of the CheckBox type with QAComplete fields.

  • Now you can link items to your defects, releases, tests and other items on the new Linked Items tab of the Edit form of all the items.

  • If you are an administrator, you can now click the new Validate button on the Integrations screen to check field mapping in all the projects. If there are some errors, QAComplete will display a list of them.

  • Now QAComplete supports Server 2017, SQL Server 2019, and the Windows Server 2019 operating system.

  • A number of bugs reported by our customers have been fixed.

SQL Server 2008 has become outdated. We are going to discontinue support for it in the next On-Premises version of the product. We will not test QAComplete with this version, nor will we create patches for it. QAComplete may still work with it, but we do not guarantee that it will work correctly.
