Select Objects to Map Dialog

Applies to TestComplete 15.70, last modified on December 17, 2024

This dialog is invoked when you select the Map Child Objects command from the context menu of a mapped object in the Name Mapping editor or in the Object Browser. It allows you to batch-map multiple child objects of an already mapped object. (To examine the parent-child hierarchy of objects in your applications, use the Object Browser.)

Select Objects to Map Dialog

The dialog displays a list of child objects that are not added to Name Mapping yet. Select the check boxes for any objects you want to map. You can use the Select All and Unselect All buttons to quickly select and deselect all the objects at once. The Invert All button allows you to quickly invert the current selection.

If you select the Map objects automatically option, TestComplete will automatically add the selected objects to the Name Mapping repository using the default settings (see Mapping Objects Automatically). Otherwise, if you leave this option unselected, TestComplete will prompt you to manually specify the mapped name, identification properties and values for each object.
