Add and Edit Configurations

To begin working with configurations, go to Test Management > Configurations. From here, you can access various types of operations which you can perform with a configuration of your choice.

Add Configuration

To add a configuration, click Add New on the Configurations toolbar.

On the following Add Configuration form, provide the necessary information about a new configuration. You can use the auto-fill option to quickly describe the configuration – to do that, just select a recent entry in the Auto-fill from Recent Entry drop-down list.

Tip: The required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).

Once your configuration is ready, click Submit to apply the changes you have made.

A new configuration will appear on the Configurations screen.

Edit Configurations

To perform operations with a specific configuration, click Edit this record in the Actions column near the configuration on the Configurations screen.

On the Edit Configuration form, you can apply the changes you need to the configuration: for example, edit the fields describing the configuration, make some comments, attach files, and so on. See below for more information.

To apply the changes you have made, click Submit, or click Cancel to return back to the Configurations screen.

Delete Configuration

To delete a configuration, click Delete on the Edit Configuration form, then confirm this action in the subsequent dialog.

What Else You Can Do

Link Items to Configurations

If you need to link some other items to the configuration (for example, a test or test set), use the Linked Items panel on the Add Configuration form or the Edit tab of the Edit Configuration form. See Linked Items for more information.

Add and Edit Comments

If you need to add some comments on the configuration, click Add New Note on the Add Configuration form or switch to the Notes tab on the Edit Configuration form and click Add New.

On that tab, you can also edit or delete the existing comments.

Work With Attachments

To attach files to the configuration, either upload them on the Add Configuration form, or switch to the Files tab on the Edit Configuration form and click Add New to open the Add Attachments form.

On that tab, you can also download or delete the existing attachments.

View History

To view the history of changes of an existing configuration, switch to the History tab on the Edit Configuration form.

Review Configuration

To view the full information about a configuration in an easy-to-read printable form, do one of the following:

  • On the Configurations screen, click Printer Friendly in the Actions column near the needed configuration.

  • Click Printer Friendly at the top of the Edit Configuration form.

Email Configuration

To email the configuration, do one of the following:

  • Click Email near the needed configuration on the Configurations screen.

  • Click Send Email at the top of the Edit Configuration form.
