Assigning Load Stations to Virtual Users

Applies to LoadComplete 4.97, last modified on May 20, 2019

LoadComplete can simulate up to 2000 virtual users on a computer. To simulate a greater number of virtual users (for example, several thousand), you can set up additional load stations (computers) and distribute extra virtual users between these stations.

You can set up load stations in tests in the Workstations Editor (see Managing Load Stations). After that, you can modify your tests to use different stations for different virtual user groups. Alternatively, you can set up load stations directly while creating a new test.

Load stations must have LoadComplete Remote Agent installed and running. This is a utility used for simulating virtual users on computers where LoadComplete is not installed.

To specify a station for a virtual user group in a test, do the following:

  • Open the test in the Load Test Editor. To do this, double-click the test in the Project Explorer.

  • In the editor, select the virtual user (or user group) for which you want to specify a station.

  • Select a station for that user (or group) from the drop-down list in the Workstation column.

Note: The drop-down list contains only those stations that are defined in the Workstations Editor.
