The Ping (or Server/Device Ping) monitor is the easiest way to ensure that a website or an Internet-connected device is available. The monitor sends a simple ping requests to a web server or device and reports about its status.
This monitor is similar to the TCP monitor, but uses a protocol of a lower level (ping), and can check not only web servers, but also other devices connected to the Internet.
