This message is shown when you are using the TestComplete Open From Source Control menu or the toolbar command to open a project that is located in a source control. When you are using this command, you specify the source control’s folder, from which TestComplete will get files, and the folder on your local drive, to which these files will be copied (see Opening Projects From Source Control (Legacy)). After getting the files from the source control, TestComplete searches for a project or project suite file in the local folder that you specified. If it fails to find the project or project suite, it is unable to complete the task and displays this message to inform you about the problem.
The most possible cause is that you selected a source control folder that does not have a project or project suite file. Select the File | Source Control | Open From Source Control menu command again, and choose the correct folder in the subsequent dialog.
