Applies To

The method is applied to the following object:

View Mode

To view this method in the Object Browser panel and in other panels and dialogs, activate the Advanced view mode.

Parameters

The method has the following parameters:

Item

Specifies the desired item. You can enter the item’s index (from 0) or its caption. The caption can contain asterisk (*) or question mark (?) wildcards or regular expressions. The asterisk (*) corresponds to a string of any length (including an empty string), the question mark corresponds to any single character (including none). To specify more complicated parts of a caption, use regular expressions.

The caption can be case-sensitive or case-insensitive depending on the value of the Use case-sensitive parameters project setting.

Subitem

Specifies the subitem you want to click. Like the Item, it can be specified by its caption or zero-based index.

If SubItem is -1, a double click will be simulated in the center of the item's bound rectangle that encloses the item's icon, label and column descriptions (for the report view style).

X

Specifies the horizontal coordinate of the mouse cursor where a double click will be simulated. The coordinate is relative to the top left corner of the item.

Y

Specifies the vertical coordinate of the mouse cursor where a double click will be simulated. The coordinate is relative to the top left corner of the item.

Shift

Specifies whether the CTRL, ALT or SHIFT key will be pressed when a double click is made. The default value is skNoShift (no Shift key is pressed). See TShiftKey.

Result Value

None.

Remarks

  • If the specified point is out of the list view item's bounds, or the specified item is not found, DblClickItemXY fails and posts an error message to the test log.

  • If TestObj refers to an object of a non-DPI-aware application running with a DPI setting other than 100%, set the X and Y parameter values relative to the application (as if the application is running with the 100% DPI setting).
