Connecting to Your Issue-Tracking Database

Applies to TestComplete 15.10, last modified on December 15, 2021

You use the Connection Wizard to create, view and modify connections to an issue-tracking database.

To call the wizard, click the ellipsis button of the Connection edit box of the Template Editor dialog, or click the Add or Edit button in the Connection Manager dialog.

Note: Connection settings are stored on the computer, on which the connection has been created. If you open your TestComplete project on another computer, you may have to create connections there in order to make the issue-tracking templates valid.

The connection settings are also specific to the user account. If another user will launch TestComplete on your computer, the connections you created will not be available.

The Connection Wizard includes the following pages:

Connection Wizard - First Page

On this page you can enter the connection name and specify the type of the desired issue-tracking database.

Connection Wizard - Team System Connection Settings

On this page you can specify parameters for connecting to your Team System database.

Connection Wizard - Bugzilla Connection Settings

On this page you can specify parameters for connecting to your Bugzilla database.

Connection Wizard - Final Page

On this page TestComplete shows you results of the connection test.
