Flex List Support

Applies to TestComplete 14.61, last modified on April 22, 2021
Information in this topic applies only to web tests that implement the default approach. In cross-platform web tests, TestComplete recognizes third-party controls as standard web controls.

About Support

TestComplete can recognize Flex List controls in Flex applications. It provides special properties and methods that let you retrieve the controls data and simulate user actions on the controls (see below).

Instances of the following classes and their descendants are recognized by TestComplete as Flex List controls:

  • mx.controls::List

  • spark.components::List

Supported Versions

Supported component versions: Adobe Flex ver. 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 4.0, 4.1, 4.5, 4.6; Apache Flex ver. 4.9 - 4.14.

Requirements

Support for the Flex List controls is implemented by the Web Testing plugin. This plugin is installed and enabled automatically as part of the TestComplete Web module.

If you experience issues when working with the controls, select File > Install Extensions from the TestComplete main menu and check whether the plugin is active. (You can find the plugin in the Web group.) If the plugin is not available, run the TestComplete installation in the Repair mode.

Recognizing Custom Controls

If the class of your custom control is a descendant of one of the classes listed above, TestComplete recognizes your control as the Flex List control automatically.

Members
