This tutorial describes how you can connect to the CrossBrowserTesting.com service by using the CrossBrowserTesting manager. This method of integrating with CrossBrowserTesting.com is deprecated starting with TestComplete 14.40. We recommend using the Device Cloud add-on instead. See About Cross-Platform Web Tests for details. |
CrossBrowserTesting is a cloud service that provides environments (various operating systems and web browsers) for running functional web tests. You can connect to the CrossBrowserTesting cloud from TestComplete and run your automated web tests in the environments the service provides.
In this tutorial, we will demonstrate how to connect to the CrossBrowserTesting cloud from TestComplete and how to run a simple web test in several web browsers using CrossBrowserTesting environments.
Note: Starting from TestComplete version 14.40 and by using the Device Cloud add-on, you can create cross-platform web tests and run them in scope of all environments that CrossBrowserTesting.com provides (including headless environments and those that are not supported by TestComplete directly, like Mac OS). To learn how to do it, see About Cross-Platform Web Tests.
The tutorial includes the following steps:
After you open the CrossBrowserTesting manager for the first time, and until you run at least one test in CrossBrowserTesting environments, TestComplete will show instructions on how to run tests in the CrossBrowserTesting manager. You can follow those instructions. To configure TestComplete to start showing the instructions again, click About on the manager toolbar and then click Get Started in the resulting form.
