Description
The wDropDownMenu
property provides a scripting interface to the drop-down menu of a toolbar item specified by the Item parameter.

Parameters
The property has the following parameter:
Item
Specifies the desired item. You can enter the item’s index (from 0) or its caption. The caption can contain asterisk (*) or question mark (?) wildcards or regular expressions. The asterisk (*) corresponds to a string of any length (including an empty string), the question mark corresponds to any single character (including none). To specify more complicated parts of a caption, use regular expressions.
The caption can be case-sensitive or case-insensitive depending on the value of the Use case-sensitive parameters project setting.
Property Value
A Menu
object that corresponds to the item’s drop-down menu. If the item does not have a menu, or the item does not exist, the property returns an empty value (Nothing
in VBScript, None
in Python, null
in JavaScript, JScript, C++Script and C#Script and nil
in DelphiScript).
Remarks
If you use Python or DelphiScript, you should enclose the parameter of the wDropDownMenu
property in square brackets: wDropDownMenu[Item]
.
After you obtain the menu, you can select items from this menu using the returned object. See the Menu
