5. Create a Build Instance

Applies to TestComplete 14.0, last modified on January 23, 2019

After creating and configuring a build definition, run it to create a build instance. You will then associate it with a test plan:

  1. Open Build Explorer in Visual Studio Team Explorer or in your team project’s web portal. (To learn more about the web portal, see docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/project/navigation/index.)

  2. Select the needed build definition and queue the build.

  3. The build will be added to the build queue and the Build Explorer will inform you about the build progress.

After the build is complete, assign it to your test plan.
