Create New Project Wizard - Windows Store Tested Applications Page

Applies to TestComplete 12.60, last modified on September 17, 2018

In the Create New Project wizard, you can create a new project for an existing or new project suite. On the Windows Store Tested Applications page of the wizard, you can add Windows Store applications to the project’s list of tested applications. This way, you will be able to launch your tested applications easily.

Note: Information about the tested applications is desirable, but it is not required for project creation. So, you can finish the project creation and add the needed tested applications any time later. See Adding Tested Applications.
The list of tested applications

The page shows a list of Windows Runtime applications to add to the project:

Column Description
Autorun Specifies whether TestComplete will automatically launch the Windows Store tested application when you start recording a test.
Name The name that TestComplete will use to address the application in tests.
Application The name of the application’s package as it is defined in the package manifest.
To add an application to the list
  • Click Add. TestComplete will open the Windows Store Application Parameters dialog.

  • The Application package name drop-down list contains all Windows Store applications installed on your computer. In the list, select the application you want to add.

  • If needed, specify the command-line arguments to pass to your Windows Store application.

  • Click OK to add the application and close the dialog.

The wizard will add the application to the list.

After you create the project, TestComplete will add the applications to the Tested Applications collection in the project. You can also add more tested applications to the project later.
