Create New Project Wizard - Tested Web Services Page

Applies to TestComplete 12.60, last modified on September 17, 2018

Using the Create New Project wizard, you can create a new project for an existing or new project suite. On the Tested Web Services page of the wizard, you can add web services to the project’s list of tested web services.

List of tested web services

The page displays a list of tested services that has the following columns:

Column Description
Name The name that will be used to address the specified web service in tests.
Description Contains the description of the selected web service. This description includes the name of the service and the version of the SOAP protocol used by the corresponding web service.
To add a web service to the list
  • Click Add. The Select Web Service dialog will appear.

  • In this dialog, you can specify a WSDL document for the tested web service, obtain information on appropriate services and specify the desired web services if there are several services for the specified WSDL document.

  • Click OK to close the dialog and add the specified web service to the table.

The web service will be added to the Web Services item of your project. After you create the project, you will see the contents of the collection of web services in the Project Explorer panel under the WebServices node.

Information about the tested web services is desirable, but not required for project creation. So, you can click Finish to command TestComplete to create your project or click Next to specify the project's scripting language. You can add more web services to your project at any time later. See Testing Web Services - Overview.

To modify data in the list

To change data in the list, click the desired cell and enter a new value in the ensuing in-place editor. Press Enter to confirm the changes, or Esc to cancel them.

When editing the Description values, click the ellipsis button and then specify the desired parameters in the ensuing Select Web Services dialog.

To remove an application from the list
  • Select the application in the list and click Remove.
