Checkpoint Wizard - Specify a Web Page to Check (Web Comparison and Web Accessibility Checkpoints)

Applies to TestComplete 15.73, last modified on March 04, 2025

On this page of the Checkpoint wizard, you select the web page for which you are creating a web accessibility or web comparison checkpoint.

  1. Click the icon in the wizard and keep the mouse button pressed.

After you start dragging, the main window of TestComplete will automatically minimize. While you are dragging, a red frame indicates the element of the web page or frame that is currently under the mouse pointer.

  2. Release the mouse button when the red frame highlights any element on the desired web page or frame.

  3. Regardless of whether you select the page or an element on the page or frame, TestComplete will retrieve the full name of the Page object that corresponds to the web page and display the object name in the Page object edit box.

If you release the mouse button over an element other than a web page element, TestComplete will display an error message notifying you that the selected object is not supported by this checkpoint.

Note: You can create checkpoints for only those web pages that are displayed in a browser supported by TestComplete, so that the test engine has access to the elements of these pages. For a list of supported browsers, see Web Testing.

To proceed with the checkpoint creation, click Next.
