View Mode

To view this method in the Object Browser panel and in other panels and dialogs, activate the Advanced view mode.

Parameters

The method has the following parameters:

Item

Specifies the desired item. You can enter the item’s index (from 0) or its caption. The caption can contain asterisk (*) or question mark (?) wildcards or regular expressions. The asterisk (*) corresponds to a string of any length (including an empty string), the question mark corresponds to any single character (including none). To specify more complicated parts of a caption, use regular expressions.

The caption can be case-sensitive or case-insensitive depending on the value of the Use case-sensitive parameters project setting.

Subitem

Specifies the subitem you want to click. Like the Item, it can be specified by its caption or zero-based index.

If SubItem is -1, the click will be simulated in center of the entire Item bound rectangle, including the icon, label and column descriptions (for the report view style).

Shift

Specifies whether the CTRL, ALT or SHIFT keys will be pressed during the click. The default value is skNoShift (no shift key pressed). See TShiftKey.

Result Value

None.

Remarks

If the item (or subitem) is not found in the list view, ClickItemR fails and posts an error message to the test log.

Infragistics UltraListView:

For the Infragistics UltraListView object its SubItemparameter default value is -1.
