4. Create a Requirement

Applies to QAComplete 14.3, last modified on February 19, 2024

In QAComplete, you use requirements to track feature requests and enhancements in your project. You can document, estimate, and approve features, and link them to your release or sprint.

For the iteration created earlier, let’s create a requirement:

  1. Go to Requirements > Show Requirements.

  2. On the Requirements toolbar, select the release and the iteration to which you want to create a requirement:

QAComplete User Tutorial: Select an iteration

Click the image to enlarge it.

  3. Click Add New.

  4. In the resulting Create Requirement form, enter the requirement caption and specify its status:

Click the image to enlarge it.

    If needed, specify other fields.

Note: The Linked Item box already contains the iteration to which the requirement will be assigned.
  5. Click Save and Close.

The Requirements screen will show the created requirement.

Let’s create a test for the requirement.
