QAComplete is a comprehensive software test management tool, which provides you with the ability to plan and organize all test cases, requirements, and defects associated with your release or user stories in a single place. As a web-based application, you can access your data anywhere you have the Internet connection.
With QAComplete, you can do the following:
Re-purpose and reuse assets across your testing cycles.
Customize the tool to your development methodology.
Determine test coverage and ensure tests exist for all requirements.
Establish clear traceability across requirements, test cases, and defects.
QAComplete is offered as the Software as a Service (Cloud) version or as the On-Premises version, for those interested in hosting the web application and database on your own servers. To learn more about differences between these versions, see SaaS and On-Premises.

In several places in this guide and other documentation, you can find the SoftwarePlanner term. SoftwarePlanner refers to the engine and database of all QAComplete features.
ALMComplete features are deprecated as of release 12. You can find information about ALMComplete-specific features in the Legacy Feature section. All QAComplete features are available in ALMComplete.
