Table of Entity Code Values

Entity codes are used in a number of tables to identify the type of the item being used. Entity code values are hard-coded in the system, and point to a specific feature or module. The following table contains descriptions of the frequently used entity code values.

Entity Code Value Description Used in Tables
Alerts Refers to built-in and custom e-mail alerts. To manage e-mail alerts within QAComplete, go to Home > Email Alerts. Alerts are stored in the Alerts table. Filters
Attachment Refers to an attachment. Attachments represent files or links attached to an item (a defect, contact, and so on). Attachments are stored in the Attachments table. Audits
AutomationRuns Refers to automation runs of legacy test cases. To manage automaton runs, go to Test Cases > Automation Runs. Automation runs are stored in the AutomationRuns table. Filters
GalleryItems
AutomationSchedules Refers to test schedules of the legacy test automation module. To manage automation schedules, go to Test Cases > Automation Scheduler. Automation schedules are stored in the AutomationSchedules table. Audits

Bugs Refers to defects used to track bugs, issues, and support tickets. To manage these, go to Defects. Defects are stored in the Bugs table.
Not all the tables use this entity code to refer to defects. Some tables use the Defects entity code.

CustomFields Refers to custom fields added to items. To manage custom fields, click Actions > Manage Custom Fields on the needed items list screen. In old UI, you can also click Custom Fields while editing an item. Custom fields are stored in the CustomFields table. Audits

DashboardPages Refers to built-in or custom dashboard pages. To manage dashboard pages, go to  > Setup > Report Setup > Manage Dashboard Pages. Dashboard pages are stored in the DashboardPages table. Audits

Defects Refers to defects used to track bugs, issues, and support tickets. To manage these, go to Defects tab. Defects are stored in the Bugs table.

Persons Refers to QAComplete users. To manage users in QAComplete, go to  > Setup > Security > Users. Users are stored in the Persons table.

ScheduledEvents Refers to the scheduled events added to an item (a defect, contact, and so on). You can manage scheduled events on the Scheduled Events tab on the item’s Edit form. Scheduled events are stored in the ScheduledEvents table. Audits
SecurityGroups Refers to security groups. To manage security groups in QAComplete, go to  > Setup > Security > Security Groups. Groups are stored in the SecurityGroups table. Audits

SupportManagerProperties Refers to properties of support managers. To customize support managers in QAComplete, go to  > Setup > System Configuration > Support Manager. The properties of a support manager are stored in the SupportManagerProperties table. Audits
Tasks Refers to agile tasks, calendar appointments, or to do list items. To manage agile tasks in QAComplete, go to Agile Tasks > Show Agile Tasks. Calendar appointments are available in Collaboration > Calendar, and to do list items are available in Collaboration > To Do List. These items are stored in the Tasks table. Audits

Users Refers to QAComplete users. To manage users in QAComplete, go to  > Setup > Security > Users. Users are stored in the Persons table.
Not all the tables use this entity code to refer to QAComplete users. Some tables use the Persons entity code.
ExtendedAttributesGalleryItems
Validations Refers to built-in and custom choice lists. To edit choice lists, click  Tools (Actions) >  Manage Choice Lists on the needed items list screen or, in old UI, Choice Lists while editing an item. Audits.
View_DbLogs Refers to a log of application errors. On-Premises users can see the log in Reports > Administrative > Error Logs. The log is stored in the DbLogs table. Filters
Workflows Refers to workflow items. To manage workflow items in QAComplete:
  • Click  Tools (Actions) >  Manage Workflow on the need items list screen.

  • (In old UI) Open the Edit form, click Choices Lists and then Workflow and State Transitions.

  • When editing the screen layout of the needed item type ( > Setup > System Configuration > Screen Layouts), click Workflow and State Transitions.
