The Create New Project wizard assists you in creating and configuring a new LoadComplete project. On the Project Name page of the wizard, you can specify the name and location for the created project:
-
Project name - The name of the project file. LoadComplete will automatically add the .ltp extension to this name when generating the project.
The project name must conform to Windows file naming rules. For example, the project name cannot:
- start with a space or dot
- include the following reserved characters:
< > : " / \ | ? *
- coincide with Windows reserved device names, such as nul, con, aux and others
If you specify a name that contains illegal characters, LoadComplete will suggest that you correct the name by replacing the illegal characters with underscores.
-
Location - The folder where the project files will be stored. You can type the folder path manually or click the ellipsis button and select the folder from the standard Browse for Folder dialog.
Note: | A test project includes multiple files: tests, recorded user scenarios, test results, and so on. These files are organized into subfolders. The “main” file is the project file, whose name you enter in the Project name edit box. This file contains general project settings and links to other project files. The project folder specifies the root location for the project files and folders. |
Click Next to enable performance monitoring for your tested web server. Click Finish to create the project without enabling the monitoring (you can enable it later, if needed).
Click Cancel to close the wizard without creating a project.
