Before recording a new scenario with LoadComplete, prepare the computer, where you will record requests and responses.
-
If you have other applications (besides the one under test) that interact with the network, for example, email clients, instant messengers or help services, we recommend that you close those applications to avoid unwanted traffic.
Alternatively, you can filter out unwanted traffic during recording. Add your application to the Record traffic of these applications only list or add unneeded applications to the Ignore traffic of these applications list before you start recording. See Excluding Undesirable Traffic.
-
If you have any traffic analyzing or network monitoring applications running on your computer, we recommend that you close those applications before you start the recording. Otherwise, LoadComplete may include the traffic those applications analyze in the recorded scenario.
As an alternative, you can add your application to the Record traffic of these applications only list or add those traffic analyzing applications to the Ignore traffic of these applications list.
-
Make sure that you start the traffic recording from the very beginning: the browser is not running, the tested web page is not opened, a user is not logged in, and so on. Otherwise, LoadComplete will not record these important actions, and your test may not run correctly.
-
