Unable to Save an Empty Image to the File

Applies to LoadComplete 4.97, last modified on May 20, 2019

When you view user scenarios in the Scenario Editor, you can see a preview of recorded web pages, images, scripts and other resources. To view image responses, you use the Image tab of the Response view.

When you try to save the image response to a file using the Save As button on the toolbar of the image viewer, you may receive an error message stating that LoadComplete is unable to save the image. The problem typically happens in the following cases:

  • The image format is not supported by LoadComplete’s image viewer. Only BMP, PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF and ICO images are supported out-of-the-box.

  • The image data is invalid.

Possible Solution

If you face this issue, try saving the image in the following way:

  • In the left pane of the Scenario editor, locate the request corresponding to the image response.

  • Right-click the request and select Save Response As from the context menu.

  • Specify the location and the name of the file to be created and click Save.
