In LoadComplete, you can define correlation rules for it to find dynamic parameters in recorded traffic and correlate the parameters automatically.
This topic describes how to command LoadComplete to generate correlation rules automatically, in the Correlate Request and Response Parameters wizard.

Creating Correlation Rules in the Correlate Request and Response Parameters Wizard
-
Record a scenario.
LoadComplete will show the Correlate Request and Response Parameters wizard automatically after the recording is over.
– or –
Open an existing scenario, for whose dynamic parameters you want to create correlation rules, and click on the Scenario editor’s toolbar to call the wizard.
Note: When correlating data in an existing scenario, make sure that requests are in the appropriate order in the scenario (that it, the requests that use data returned by previous server responses are simulated after those responses). Examine the Timeline page of the Page and Connection operations to learn the request and response order. LoadComplete takes the request and response order into account when correlating data. -
Configure the wizard to use empirical algorithms to search for dynamic parameters and command the wizard to correlate the scenario.
-
The wizard will analyze the scenario and show information on found dynamic parameters.
For the needed dynamic parameters, select the Add global rule check box and click Next.
-
For each selected dynamic parameter, the wizard will generate a correlation rule and show information on it.
You can view the rule, change the rule name and a framework, to which the rule will be added.
-
Click Finish to command the wizard to add the rules to LoadComplete’s list of pre-defined correlation rules.
