Specifying Path to Source Files

You explore source code and view line-level profiling results in AQTime’s Editor panel.

In order for AQTime to be able to show the source code in this panel, the following conditions should be met:

• The application must be compiled with debug information. If AQTime cannot obtain debug information, see Why the Source Code May Not Be Displayed for possible solutions.

• You need to “tell” AQTime where it can find source files. You can do this in the Search Directories dialog that is used for all AQTime projects, or in the Project Search Directories dialog which affects only your current AQTime project.

To specify search paths that can be used by any AQTime project

1. Select Options > Options from AQTime’s main menu and then choose the General > Search Directory group in the ensuing Options dialog.Select Tools > Options from the main menu of Visual Studio and then choose the AQTime > General > Search Directory group in the ensuing Options dialog.Select AQTime > Options from the main menu of RAD Studio and then choose the General > Search Directory group in the ensuing Options dialog.

2. Click Add and then type the path or click the ellipsis button and browse for the desired folder.

3. If you want AQTime to look for source files in subfolders as well, select the Include Subdirectories check box. To learn more, see the Search Directory Dialog topic.

To specify search paths for the current project only

1. Select Project > Search Directories from the main menu.Project > Search Directories from Visual Studio’s main menu. Project Search Directories in Embarcadero RAD Studio. Note that this button is not on any toolbar by default. However, you can add the button to any RAD Studio’s toolbar via the Toolbar Customization dialog. In this dialog, switch to the Commands page, select the Project.AQtime category in the Categories list, drag the Search Directories command from the Commands list and drop it onto the needed toolbar.

2. Add the folder by typing the path to it or click Browse and select the desired folder via the standard Select Folder dialog.

3. If you want AQTime to look for source files in subfolders as well, select the Include Subdirectories check box. To learn more, see the Project Search Directories Dialog topic.
