When you launch AQTime on a workstation, it must be able to connect to the License Manager and request permission to run. This imposes the following requirements for the License Manager PC:
-
This computer must be switched on.
-
It must have a working network connection.
-
The Sentinel LDK License Manager service must be running on it. This service is used by the License Manager to exchange data between the License Manager and AQTime workstations (see How Licensing Subsystem Works).
As testers may need to run AQTime at any time, you need to find a computer that always meets these requirements. Quite often, this is a server computer in your network. We recommend that you activate the AQTime Floating User license on it.
