When you activate a TestLeft license, it sends data on your computer to our licensing servers:
The motherboard ID
The master hard-drive serial number
If you change both the motherboard and master hard-drive on your computer, you will have to renew the license.
When you activate a TestLeft license, the licensing subsystem saves the activation information on your hard drive. This information may be lost when you are installing a new operating system.
If operating system installation does not preserve your files, applications, and settings, you will have to renew the license.
Before upgrading hardware or software: deactivate your TestLeft license on the License Manager PC. For detailed information on how to do this, see Deactivating and Moving Licenses.
After deactivating the license, you will get a new license key.
Change the hardware or install a new operating system.
Use the new license key to activate the TestLeft license as it is described in the Activating Licenses section.
