Support for Applications, Platforms and Controls

  • Mozilla Firefox 5 and 6 support. You can now perform functional testing of web pages using the latest versions of the Mozilla Firefox browser.

  • Java 7 support. The release version of Java 7 is now supported by TestComplete. This includes both testing Java applications and applets that run on the Java 7 platform (both 32-bit and 64-bit versions) and calling Java 7 API functions from tests.

  • Support for Rogue Wave Stingray Objective GridEx controls. TestComplete now allows you to record and simulate user actions on Objective GridEx controls in Visual C++ applications using a new RogueStingrayGridEx test object.

  • Improved support for Developer Express .NET controls. TestComplete now supports the latest version of Developer Express XtraTreeList and XtraVerticalGrid controls - 2011 Vol 1.

Microsoft Visual Studio Integration Improvements

  • Visual Studio now automatically detects which test runner application -- TestComplete or TestExecute -- is installed on the computer and uses it to run your TestComplete tests from Visual Studio test projects. If both TestComplete and TestExecute are installed on the computer, you can select the preferred test runner in the TestComplete test editor within Visual Studio.

  • In addition to manual selection of TestComplete test items to be run, you now have the option to run test items that are originally selected in your TestComplete project or project suite.

  • The TestComplete test editor in Visual Studio now has a toolbar with commands to select and unselect test items quickly, to toggle selection and so on.
