Location Property

The information below concerns legacy mobile tests that work with mobile devices connected to the local computer. For new mobile tests, we recommend using the newer cloud-compatible approach.

Description

Returns the object that provides information about the current location of the mobile device. See Geolocation Testing (Legacy).

Property Value

The iOSGPSData object whose properties describe the current location of the mobile device.

Remarks

The returned object may contain data about the actual / physical location of the device, or about the so-called mock location - a fictitious location used for debugging purposes. You can specify mock location data using the SetLocation method.

Example

The code below retrieves location data from the iOS device's GPS sensor, posts them to the test log and shows the location in Google Maps:
