iOSDevice Object

Applies to TestComplete 15.20, last modified on January 19, 2022
The information below concerns legacy mobile tests that work with mobile devices connected to the local computer. For new mobile tests, we recommend using the newer cloud-compatible approach.

Description

The iOSDevice object provides access to the specified iOS device. You can use this object to obtain information about the device and perform certain testing actions over it.

In order for TestComplete to be able to access an iOS device connected to your computer, you need to prepare your computer and TestComplete for testing. Also, in order for your tested application to be “visible” to TestComplete, it must be compiled in a certain way. For detailed information, see Preparing Applications, Devices, and Test Computers for iOS Testing (Legacy).
