Adding New Project Items to Team Foundation Version Control Repository

Applies to TestComplete 14.50, last modified on April 22, 2021

To add new keyword tests, scripts and other items to projects stored in Team Foundation Version Control, follow these steps:

Note: To perform any tasks over a project (or a project suite) bound to a team project repository in Azure DevOps Services or Azure DevOps Server or on Team Foundation Server, your computer must have access to the repository.

  1. Add a new item to your test project.

  2. If you are prompted to check out the parent item, do so. This is needed because the parent item needs to be modified to include a link to the new child item.

  3. Configure the newly added item.

  4. Check in the new item and its parent item to your repository.

The new item is now in source control and is available to other users.
