Description

Declaration
TestObj.wText
| Read-Write Property | String |
| TestObj | A variable, parameter or expression that specifies a reference to one of the objects listed in the Applies To section | |||
Applies To
The property is applied to the following objects:
Android EditText, Android SearchView, iOS TextField and 3 more objects, iOS TextView, Xamarin.Forms Editor, Xamarin.Forms Entry « Collapse the list
View Mode
This property is available in the Object Browser panel and in other panels and dialogs in both Basic and Advanced view modes.
Property Value
A string containing the text displayed by the control.
Remarks
If an edit control works in password mode, that is, it hides its actual text using a pre-defined character, the wText property returns the actual text rather than the text displayed to the user.
Assigning a new value to the wText property does not move the insertion point.
Note that to change text in an edit control, you can also use the SetText action. Unlike the wText property, SetText adds a note about the performed operation to the test log.
