About Support
TestComplete can recognize Flex TabBar controls in Flex applications. It provides special properties and methods that let you retrieve the controls data and simulate user actions on the controls (see below).
Supported Versions
Supported component versions: Adobe Flex ver. 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 4.0, 4.1, 4.5, 4.6; Apache Flex ver. 4.9 - 4.14.
Requirements
In order for TestComplete to be able to work with Flex TabBar controls, the following requirements must be met:
-
You must have an active license for the TestComplete Web module.
-
The control’s class name must be specified in the group of your project’s Object Mapping options. By default, this group contains the following items:
- mx.controls::TabBar
- spark.components::TabBar
You can also command the test engine to recognize custom controls as Flex TabBar controls. See below for information about this.
-
Support for the Flex TabBar controls is implemented by the Web Testing plugin. This plugin is installed and enabled automatically as part of the TestComplete Web module.
If you experience issues when working with the controls, select File > Install Extensions from the TestComplete main menu and check whether the plugin is active. (You can find the plugin in the Web group.) If the plugin is not available, run the TestComplete installation in the Repair mode.
Recognizing Custom Controls
Instances of the following classes and their descendants are recognized by TestComplete as Flex TabBar controls:
-
mx.controls::TabBar
-
spark.components::TabBar
If the class of your custom control is a descendant of one of the classes listed above, TestComplete recognizes your control as the Flex TabBar control automatically.
