Use the wItem
property to get a text of a control’s item by its index.

View Mode
This property is available in the Object Browser panel and in other panels and dialogs in both Basic and Advanced view modes.
Parameters
The property has the following parameter:
Index
Specifies the index of the item whose text you want to get. The index is zero-based, that is, the first item has the index 0, the second - 1, and so on. The index of the last item is wItemCount
- 1.
Property Value
A string holding the text of the specified item.
Remarks
If the specified item is not found, an error will occur and TestComplete will post an error message to the test log.
If you use Python or DelphiScript, you should enclose the parameter of the wItem
property in square brackets: wItem[Index]
.
For WPF Controls: If a control uses data binding for its items, the wItem
property may fail to get the specified item’s text and will return an empty string instead. To get the item’s text, you can use the control’s native properties.
