Specify Excel Workbook Page (DB Table Variable Wizards)

Applies to TestComplete 14.0, last modified on January 23, 2019

On the Specify Excel Workbook page, you can specify the name of the Excel file that stores the data you want to get.

To specify the file, enter its relative path into the File Name edit box. As an alternative, click the ellipses button and browse for the needed excel file (.xls or .xlsx) in the standard Open File dialog.

To access data in Excel files, you must have Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider installed on your computer. Make sure the “bitness” of this data provider (32- or 64-bit) is the same the TestComplete “bitness”, otherwise, you will get the “The needed data source driver is not installed...” error message. To learn more, see Microsoft Office Excel Data Connectivity.

Click Next to proceed with adding the DB table variable. Back will return you to the previous page of the wizard. Cancel will close the wizard and abort adding the variable.
