Disabling the Mouse Before Automated Testing

You can disable the physical mouse before a test run to prevent the computer users from interfering with the test run. To do this, use the Disable mouse option in your TestComplete project's properties. To enable this option:

  • Select Tools | Current Project Properties from the TestComplete menu.

  • Choose the Playback category in the list on the left.

  • Select the Disable mouse check box.

  • Select File | Save from the TestComplete menu to save the changes.

TestComplete disables the mouse at the beginning of the test, and the mouse stays disabled until:

  • the test ends

  • Ctrl+Alt+Del is pressed.
