Description
Everything outside of TestComplete itself is accessed by tests as an element of a Windows process. The object through which all outside access to tests is obtained, Sys, has Process children, each with a unique, two-part ID:

The name of the executable file that starts the process.

The index of the process instance. An application can have several instances running simultaneously. The first (earliest launched instance) has index 1, the second - index 2, etc. If you obtain several processes with an identical name and the process with the lowest index is terminated, the indexes of the other processes will be decreased by one.
Therefore, the actual process is obtained through the Sys.Process() function:

Thus, for instance, window objects are children of process objects. They can be accessed through the Child function of that process and counted in its ChildCount property.
