Disconnecting Users From License Manager

Applies to TestComplete 15.70, last modified on December 17, 2024

This page refers to key-based licenses — a legacy license type used in TestComplete until version 15.48. For information on the current, ID-based license type, see SmartBear ID-based Licenses.

Sometimes you may need to disconnect users who connected to a License Manager. To do this:

  1. Go to the License Manager PC.

  2. Open the Sentinel Admin Control Center. To do this, open the http://localhost:1947 URL in a web browser (see Controlling License Manager for more information).

  3. In the Admin Control Center, click Sessions in the left-side menu. This will open the page that displays information on connected users and TestComplete features they use. You can see the user name in the User column and the feature name and ID in the Feature column.

  4. Find the desired user in the list. If the connection list includes several pages, you may need to scroll through them by clicking « prev page and next page » buttons below the list.

The list is grouped by user names. Once you find the first entry of the user name in the list, you can check the next rows to see the features “taken” by the user.

  5. For each feature occupied by the user, click Disconnect in the Actions column (this column is rightmost in the list).

You may configure the License Manager to prevent certain users or computers to connect to it. For information on how to do this, see Specifying License Manager for Connection.
