1. Install a MySQL Server

To access data from MySQL, you need a MySQL server.

To install a MySQL server, perform the following steps:

1. Download the MySQL installer from the MySQL web site:

   https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/

2. Install it on your computer and run.

3. In the main window, click Add and use the installation wizard to install MySQL Server.

4. After the installation is complete, the MySQL installer will ask you to configure the server. You can do that if you want, or you can leave the default settings.

Now you can install a sample database.
