2. Install a Sample MySQL Database

In this tutorial, you will need to use some sample data.

To install a sample MySQL database, do the following:

1. Open the MySQL installer.

2. In the main window, click Add.

3. On the first page of the wizard, select Product and Features.

4. Select Documentation > Samples and Examples in the Available Products section.

5. Click the right arrow symbol.

6. Click Next and perform the steps of the installation wizard.

7. When the installation is complete, MySQL Installer will ask you to configure the sample database. You can leave the default settings.

Now you can install a JDBC driver.
