If LoadComplete detects that your license is activated on a virtual computer, it will fail to start and will display an error message. LoadComplete cannot use licenses activated on virtual machines.
A possible solution depends on the license type you have.
Node-Locked License
Move LoadComplete from a virtual computer to a physical computer:
-
Deactivate the license key on the virtual machine, as described in Deactivating and Moving LoadComplete Licenses.
-
Uninstall LoadComplete from the virtual machine.
-
Install LoadComplete on a physical machine.
-
Start LoadComplete on the physical machine and activate your license key. For the license activation instructions, see Activating Node-Locked Licenses.
Note: | If you currently have a Node-Locked license and need to use LoadComplete on a virtual machine, consider obtaining a Floating User license. Floating User License
Move the license from a virtual computer to a physical License Manager PC (you still will be able to run LoadComplete on virtual computers):
-
Deactivate the license key on the virtual machine, as described in Deactivating and Moving LoadComplete Licenses.
-
Install SmartBear License Manager on a physical computer in your network. (This computer and the virtual machine where LoadComplete is installed must be connected via the network.)
-
Launch the License Manager utility on the License Manager PC and activate your license key. For the license activation instructions, see Activating Node-Locked Licenses.
Now, you can use LoadComplete on the virtual machine.
