Before you install LoadComplete, make sure that the following requirements are met:
-
The computer where you are going to install LoadComplete meets the hardware and software requirements described in System Requirements.
-
Your user account has the necessary permissions described in User Permissions.
-
LoadComplete is installed in the “all users” mode. That is, after installation it will be available to all the users on your computer, not only to the user who installed it.
LoadComplete 4 can be successfully installed and used on a computer where LoadComplete 3 or earlier is installed, and the installation program does not upgrade existing installations of earlier LoadComplete versions to LoadComplete 4. If you have a previous version of LoadComplete installed, consider whether you want to upgrade it to LoadComplete 4 or install LoadComplete 4 side-by-side:
-
If you want to upgrade to LoadComplete 4 from an earlier version, you need to uninstall the old version first. See Uninstalling LoadComplete.
Before uninstalling the old version, you can save your customized LoadComplete settings and restore them after you install a new version. For more information, see Exporting and Importing Custom User Settings.
-
If you want to install LoadComplete 4 side-by-side with a previous version, no additional preparations are required.
Projects created in LoadComplete 3.x and 2.99 will work with LoadComplete 4 with little or no changes. However, projects created or modified in LoadComplete 4 are incompatible with earlier versions.
User Permissions
You must have administrator permissions to install, change, repair or uninstall LoadComplete. You must be logged on as Administrator or belong to the Administrators group on the computer.
If you install LoadComplete from a network share, you must use a domain account that has the read and execute permissions on that share.
