When you start profiling using the Performance or Function Trace profiler with the Elapsed Time, User Time, User+Kernel Time, Soft Memory Page Faults, Hard Memory Page Faults or All Memory Page Faults counter, AQTime checks the type of the processor installed on the machine. If the processor supports the dynamic CPU frequency mode (that is, the SpeedStep technology) and this mode is active, the processor frequency may change during the application run. Therefore, AQTime cannot guarantee that timing results will be accurate. It informs you about this by displaying this warning message when you are going to start profiling.
We recommend that you disable the dynamic CPU frequency mode to obtain consistent profiler results.
A utility that can enable or disable SpeedStep is usually delivered by the computer manufacturer or by the manufacturer of the motherboard. It may be possible to download the utility from their Web site. You can also try disabling SpeedStep in the BIOS.
